We know - Ali and I both had that same comment after we read the quote...Sounds so un-Lewisish, doesn't it? At the same time, sounds like some of his tongue-in-cheek comments you can sometimes see in the Chronicles of Narnia...
love the quote... a soft boiled egg and toast are my all-time favorite comfort food- and in my opinion, are quite deserving of a quote by the great Mr. Lewis!
